About the Role:
WGMI Labs is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Staff Software Engineer specializing in Full Stack Mobile Application Development. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of mobile applications from concept to deployment, ensuring that they are scalable, user-friendly, and high-performing. You’ll work with a variety of technologies, including React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Node.js, and cloud services like AWS, to create robust mobile applications for our clients.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the architecture and development of mobile solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers. You will play a critical role in defining and implementing best practices for mobile development and ensuring that our mobile applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, and other modern technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Architect and implement scalable, high-performance mobile applications that provide an excellent user experience on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs, ensuring seamless communication between the frontend and backend.
- Optimize mobile applications for performance, security, and responsiveness, following best practices in mobile development.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure that coding standards are maintained across the team.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve our mobile development processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in mobile applications, providing timely solutions to ensure the stability and reliability of our products.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Full Stack Mobile Application Development.
- Strong proficiency in mobile development frameworks such as React Native, as well as native development with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
- Extensive experience with backend development using Node.js and integrating with cloud services like AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Proven ability to architect and build scalable, high-performance mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Experience with mobile application testing and deployment on the App Store and Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of mobile security best practices and data protection standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Experience working in agile development environments, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Passion for mobile technology and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices.
Compensation:
✅ Target base salary of $80,000 - $100,000

What Your First 90 Days Will Look Like:
- Within 30 Days: Become familiar with WGMI Labs' mobile development processes, tools, and current projects. Begin contributing to ongoing mobile development tasks and start leading the development of smaller features.
- Within 60 Days: Take full ownership of mobile development projects, leading the architecture and implementation of key features or entire applications. Collaborate closely with the team to ensure that mobile solutions meet client requirements and high-quality standards.
- Within 90 Days: Achieve mastery of our mobile development stack, consistently deliver high-quality mobile applications that exceed client expectations, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our mobile development practices. Begin mentoring junior engineers and actively participate in strategic planning for mobile projects.
